Project Scope – Lake County Health Dept. Building – Zion, IL
The goal for this project was to renovate 16,210 sq. ft. of a donated building allowing the Lake County Health Department to move from their existing structure to a new facility. The new facility provides primary, mental, behavioral, dental and nutritional care. The renovation included the addition of three dental exam rooms, two labs for sterilized equipment, and ten exam rooms. The new vestibule has a security-controlled lobby with two waiting areas and a smaller waiting room for patients with infectious diseases.
Project Scope – Lake County Health Dept Building – Waukegan, IL
The goal for this project was to renovate 7,400 sq. ft. of the main entrance and the first floor of the existing Lake County Health Department building. This building is the main hub of health services for Lake County and needed to remain open during construction. Working closely with the facilities managers and design team we created a phasing plan that allowed the building to remain open during construction. This allowed daily and critical medical activities to continue without disruption. Due to the project affecting the waiting room, intake area, and screening rooms, daily coordination was managed to keep the public, staff, and construction workers safe and COVID-free.
