Mike Rylko Community Park Amphitheater
Development
Project Overview
The Mike Rylko Community Park redevelopment project included the construction of a new amphitheater pavilion, covered event shelter, native planting and lighted walkways throughout the park. The amphitheater stage area will accommodate approximately 155 people with the terrace lawn area able to seat approximately 3,000.
Project Location
Buffalo Grove, IL
Project Scope
Work included the complete excavation of the 4.8-acre site. The existing utilities, stormwater and sanitary systems were upgraded and expanded. With the construction of the amphitheater building the existing site retention was reengineered to account for the new building and hardscape. Working through a very wet spring, the project was completed on schedule and open to the public for the annual Buffalo Grove Days celebration.
